2GETHER AS 1 With Technology
An anthology of 5 short dance films that explore the co-dependence of mankind and artificial intelligence. SMU dancers will perform alongside their robotic counterparts in this groundbreaking collaboration with NUS Advanced Robotics Centre. Conceptualised and choreographed by Singapore’s award-winning street dance duo, ScRach MarcS.

A world run by automatons is so ingrained in our everyday lives that we do not pause to question its existence. Meanwhile, in a parallel universe, the robots are discovering and studying the human race for the first time…

With the advancement of neuroscience and intelligence enhancement, will robots one day be teaching us how to be humans? Will they develop their own consciousness and become indiscernible from us? SENTIENCE weighs in on the similarities, differences, areas of displacement and co-existence between man and machine.

2GETHER AS 1 SUPPORTS
THE SMU RESILIENCE FUND
The programmes you have watched are a labour of love from over 300 youths over the last 8 months. They have come 2GETHER AS 1 to pursue their common passion in the arts, while juggling the commitments from other aspects of their lives. For some students, this includes shouldering financial difficulties during the pandemic. You can help ease their load by donating generously to SMU Resilience Fund, a university-wide effort established in 2020 to provide timely and much-needed relief for SMU students. We look forward to receiving your support during this festive season.
