Welcome to the SMU Arts Fest 2026!

For the fourth consecutive year, SMU Arts Fest is proud to partner with the Singapore Night Festival, transforming our campus and the Bras Basah.Bugis precinct into a vibrant hub for the arts. Together, we continue to bring new life to the district through performances, exhibitions and shared experiences that invite audiences to see familiar spaces in new ways.

This year, our theme is "Legendary" — you'll find the full story behind it, and all four productions and programmes it inspired, in the Festival Director's message. From my vantage point as Dean of Students, what stands out most is what the theme has drawn out of our students: over three weeks, from 21 August to 5 September, our arts clubs are staging their most ambitious season yet – spanning music, visual art and a first-of-its-kind theatrical collaboration (with The Finger Players).

For the first time, every programme is staged on campus, making it easier than ever for our students to take part, whether as performers or as audience.

This year's SMU Arts Fest showcases the work of 400 performers, including 250 undergraduate and postgraduate students and 25 alumni, drawn from 14 of SMU's arts clubs. Their creativity and dedication capture the spirit of what makes SMU's student life so vibrant.
